A local expert, been living in Fairbanks and different parts of Alaska for decades. I'm an environmental engineer/scientist who teaches part time at the University and loves sharing Alaska with travelers. I came here in 1978 and loves exploring the wilderness as a pilot, boat captain, scientist and adventurer. Worked for Alaskan environmental agencies and the National Parks. Degrees in Natural Science, Sociology and Environmental Engineering. In addition to guiding land tours I operate a riverboat for adventurous guests discovering Alaska’s Yukon River.

Up to 10 guests ages 10 and up can attend. The activity level for this Adventure is light. Let me know if you have any trouble walking, going up and down stairs, getting in and out of a passenger van, etc...
Aurora can be seen right outside your room, and there is a heated yurt and ideal viewing and photography spots a short walk from your room! Be prepared for possibly very cold and icy conditions, and notify us if you will have any mobility issues. Proper gear is important and we can rent it to you.
