What you'll do
We will meet at the Marina in South Portland and board the boat. We will teach basic line toss and docking as we often need guests’ help with that. We will explain some safety measures, then serve up beverages as we head out to the harbor. We will cruise to our favorite secret spot that can only be accessed by boat for swimming & sunning. On the way we will see many of the sites, Bug light, Portland head light, Fort Gorges, Ram island ledge light station, Etc. When we arrive at our destination guests can swim, paddle board, float, play games on the beach or hike around the island. Just have an all around “day on the boat” like you see on tv (and like we have done forever- not realizing what others are missing!:) while we prepare lunch. After lunch, we will teach guests basic map reading and head back to the dock. Guests will love learning that there is much more to the area than the common routes and group tours allow them to see. We will arrive at the dock after about 4 hours and have guests help us secure the boat before they leave us to the clean up.
Alanna & Chris
We have been boating here our whole lives and know all of the best spots to go based on the tides, wind and weather. Being on a boat is the only way to get the real experience of the Maine summer, and we don’t mean a “boat tour”. We have a swanky 34’ power boat that we would like to use to give travelers the REAL experience that only locals have access to. The cool thing about this experience is that guests can take our suggestions, or choose where they want to go! All of the tours and water taxis are group tours, are “stay in the boat” type of deals. We encourage swimming, paddle boarding and playing on some of the best beaches that can only be reached by boat! The boat has full bathroom, kitchen and plenty of room for up to 6 friends to have a ball! Lunch, drinks and towels are provided. Chill types can choose a sunset cruise!
Healthy & casual.
Plenty of options for beer wine and cocktails guests can help themselves to.
Paddle board, dinghy, tube to float on, beach games, towels, snorkeling gear.
Where you'll be
Guests will see Bug Light, Fort Gorges, Portland’s East end, or Portland Head light depending on the route. We will visit The Gosslings, Jewel or Richmond island depending on the weather. Goslings and Jewel are warmer because they are inside the harbor, but they are also rocky/ muddy. Richmond is totally private and all white sand but outside of the harbor so it can be colder in some days. The trip to Richmond is about 45 min longer.

This is the ONLY charter boat in Portland! We live in the Caribbean half of the year and we wanted to bring that kind of fun to Portland harbor. The boat is your home for the day! Or night- it’s available for overnights too!
