What you'll do

An adventurous hike with waterfalls and vistas at nearly every turn. We'll pick you up direct from your Airbnb in Seattle and then head towards the Cascade mountains where we'll find a fairy's playground of roaring waterfalls and green valleys. Wallace Falls comprises three different waterfalls along the main fork of the Wallace River. The trail is moderate with rocks and roots, but a safe trail with rails to protect from falls and no narrow ledges or trail drop offs. Round trip is 6 miles. We'll have lunch at hiker's choice of the lower, middle or upper falls.

If the group is feeling adventurous, we can push on to Wallace Lake. A hidden gem of a lake for the more adventurous (9 miles round trip).

Note: pickup location says Starbuck’s but we actually pick up direct from your Airbnb, hotel or residence.

I started my own adventure company Adventures In Seattle and we focus on small private and semi-private hikes for adventuring souls. We focus on hikes off the beaten path.

Either myself or Kevin lead each hike. We are both experienced, professional outdoor guides with Wilderness First Responder certifications.

We love to share our wonderful world with other adventure seeking individuals who feel the wanderlust and the tug of the mountains. Because the mountains are calling, and we must go...

Where you'll be

Wallace Falls is a popular hike located just outside the Seattle metro area in the Cascade Mountains. The waterfalls are sure to delight with the mist floating up from the valley below. Wallace Falls is actually composed of three waterfalls; lower, middle and upper falls. All unique cascades of crashing glacier water. The river is crystal clear and the trail is well maintained and moderate. But don't be fooled, you will get a workout!

I could say so much about this Experience. But to keep it short and sweet, I really enjoyed my time with Kevin (My Guide) He was clearly passionate about the outdoors and incredibly knowledgeable about the hike. He is quite obviously a professional in this field with over 15 years of experience. He was very personable and approachable. I appreciated his willingness to be in my photos and take photos of me as well. If you’re a photographer you will have no shortage of views and banger photos. IF YOU DONT HIKE, THIS WILL BE A TOUGH HIKE FOR YOU. However, I will say without being pushy, Kevin helped encourage me complete the entire hike which left me feeling more accomplished and overall happy about my experience. It is an absolutely beautiful hike, and I would highly recommend.

Kevin was a great, knowledgeable guide. He picked me up from my place and supplied gear and food to make the beautiful hike easy.

We first chose this hike because we didn't expect to have a car, and we wanted to get out of the city and go hiking in the Cascades for a day. But even after we decided to rent a car for the week (for other reasons), I'm SO SO glad we went on this adventure with Seattle Adventures, Sophia, and Kevin. Kevin was our guide, he picked us up at our AirBnB, arranged everything, including backpacks, food, and water bladders, and -- most importantly -- Kevin taught us a lot about the forest we visited. Both my daughter and I agreed we learned so much more by going with Kevin than we ever would have learned on our own. Kevin pointed out the difference between the leaf patterns of hemlock and western cedar, and showed examples of the different cones of the various Cascade evergreens. He showed us examples of different kinds of blackberries and ferns, and hiked as fast as or as slow as we wanted during the various parts of the hike. He was knowledgeable, friendly, gracious, fun. And the hike up to upper Wallace Falls is stunning.

A fantastic hike through beautiful forest to see three spectacular views of the Wallace Falls. Our guide Kevin was fun, knowledgeable and always on hand to answer questions. The weather was spectacular for us, considering the time of year, with wonderful views and no rain. The hike isn’t difficult but uphill and reasonably steep in parts. But no one in our party felt rushed, with plenty of time for photos, rest stops and a great trail lunch of turkey sandwiches and lots of snacks. Packs, climbing poles and water bladders provided if you don’t have gear. Sophia’s regular and informative contact before the hike was great. Can highly recommend to anywhere seeking a little adventure out of Seattle.

What a wonderful experience. My host has led tours elsewhere around the Puget Sound region, and is pretty knowledgeable. I chose this experience because I did not want a car (it is more trouble than it is worth if staying in Seattle), and this did not disappoint! BEAUTIFUL setting

Visiting from Virginia and thought this would be a good way to learn a little more about the area and spend less time planning and more time enjoying. Kevin was our guide and I would say he was the highlight of the tour. The trail was well suited for beginners and Kevin took the time to make sure we had everything we need ( supplies, poles, snacks, water, etc ). Weather wasn’t the greatest but where that lacked Kevin made up for fun conversation with our stroll in the woods. Only downside to the tour was the logistics of lunch, ponchos, etc and the time it took to finally getting to the trail. All in all I think most beginners would find this a lot of fun. For moderate hikers the conversation with a cultured guy like Kevin would be the highlight, not so much the trail. Overall would suggest it to others. Big reason to go with these folks, Kevin and transportation ( pick up ).
