What you'll do

We start with our e-bikes from Piazza del Duomo in Orvieto to reach Albornoz Fortress where we have a 15 minutes stage for admiring wonderful landscape on Monte Peglia, MAB Unesco reserve, and tell some word about Orvieto's history. Then we will get the "Ring" of Orvieto in order to have unforgottable views from different angles. We stop also come minutes just above "Etruscan Necropolis" where historians are still studying to better understand that fascinating civilization. After we go again inside the very center of Orvieto through "Roman Door", reaching a terrace from where you may take beautiful pictures on Orvieto and lands around. Again by e-bike we get S. Andrea Church and Piazza del Popolo, ending our tour in Piazza del Duomo again, where in a very old and unic winery (an Etruscan cave used now as private wine cellar) we will have our unforgottable wine and food tasting, an experience of scents and tastes that will make this tour an extraordinary "souvenir" of your holiday. Products very genuine from the land and tipical wines of the territory tasted in a spectacular place, just seat in front of Orvieto's Cathedral .

Since three years I take care about bike rental planning guided tours in unic places and archeological sitese full of history and culture, where a turist couldn' t discover by himself. I successfully started bike rentals in Rome, on Abruzzo' s highlands and also on seaside coast, where our guests live with us very emotional experiences.
Knowledge of territory, love for art and historyand research of enogastronomical excellences let me take our guests to an experience as an actor, not as a viwer, in a way that thay couldn' t get by themselves .

Piazza del Duomo in Orvieto with the Romanic/Gothic Cathedral is a spectacular place known all over the word; Albornoz Fortress is a rock in a strategical position, built in order to controll the way from Florence to Rome. S. Andrea is oldest Church in Orvieto, 250 years older than Cathedral; In Piazza del Popolo we may look at Palazzo del Capitano, the ancient building where governors and rich familes lived during past centuries.

I’d highly recommend the bike tour of Orvieto with Paolo! He was very knowledgeable of the area’s history, and it’s clear that history is a passion of his. The bike ride was easy and the city of Orvieto is very beautiful and carries the stories of many different eras in history. The meal at the end was a wonderful way to cap off a meaningful experience. Would highly recommend :)

Fun experience riding on ebikes in the evening around town. We stopped at several spots where Paolo spoke about the history of the area. It got dark quickly so it wasn’t great for photos but I enjoyed the information. The time at Cantini Foresi was very nice with wine and food. Getting a peek at their ancient wine cellar was a special treat.

Where do I start? The experience was an evening eBike ride around the cobblestone streets of the ancient walled city of Orvieto and it was to include a little wine and a snack. What actually occurred was so much more that we are still talking about how magical the evening was! First and foremost, the town is lovely. The bikes were terrific (not going to lie, the electric portion of our transportation was invaluable) and the stops around the walls of the city (along with places of interest within the city itself) were perfectly measured, but the pièce de ré·sis·tance was the after-tour "snack" at the exquisitely-situated Cantina Foresi on the Piazza del Duomo. Alessandro and his mother could not have been more amazing hosts! Paolo led us down into the wine cellar beneath the restaurant where we saw barrels and bottles that were decades old in a space that was centuries older. The current owner is the grandson of the cafe's founder, which has been in this space since 1953 and the cellar dates back some 700 years! Once seated in the Piazza out front of the cafe, Alessandro's momma (whose name, unfortunately, I do not remember, but she seemed perfectly content being called momma) kept the food courses coming (perfectly matched by all of the wine pairings that Alessandro offered) well past 10PM when we had the square to ourselves. BTW, can I mention that I have become a big fan of the Orvieto Classico, a dry white wine grown and bottled locally? We shared the experience with a wonderful family from Colorado, who agreed that the entire evening could NOT have been any better. Paolo, who owns a number of eBike experiences throughout Italy has done a terrific job of putting together this special Orvieto tour. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This was a truly unique experience! The timing of the ebike adventure was great and the information was relevant and as advertised. The food and wine was fabulous, the guiding was well done and the friends we made during the biking and dinner are still on our radar. This adventure should not be missed.

Paolo is a fantastic guide, super knowledgeable, funny, and personable. We never could have known or done this ourselves. It was a great way to see Orvieto - so peaceful and easy. The tasting afterward hosted by Alessandro was amazing. We had his family’s food and wine al fresco in front of the duomo. All in all, an awesome night.
