What you'll do
Join in for an adventure into the unknown on this Ghosts of Capitol Hill tour experience. It's the perfect way to experience Denver's mystery, history, and ghosts, or, if you're looking for a fun nighttime experience. This is also a great opportunity to explore Denver on foot, even if you're busy during the day or arriving into town later in the day and still want to make the most of your visit, plus get a great introduction to the renowned Capitol Hill area of our Mile High City!
Your tour experience kicks off at 1288 Gilpin St. on Cheesman Park's north end. The stories that all of our Denver ghosts, apparitions, and ghouls have to tell will raise the hairs on your arms and give you a glimpse into the strange happenings of Denver's seedy past!
This walking experience visits the sight that inspired the movies The Changeling & Poltergeist, an old burial graveyard turned park, the most haunted home in Colorado, historic haunted mansions, & both a school and church with reported paranormal activity. Your experience will last about 2-2.5 hours. Along the way, you'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, take photos, chat one-on-one and see and learn more in 2 hours than you thought possible. Will you see a roaming spirit, poltergeist or ghost?
Please note: Our hair-rising stories are told outside; we don't go inside these buildings, as they are all privately owned.
Other things to note
2 mile walking route; very flat walk with plenty of stops. All ages are welcome! Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes before your scheduled departure time to check-in. Tours operate rain, shine, or snow.

I had the amazing opportunity to live in Australia 16 years ago, which is where I met my husband, a Kiwi. I spent the next decade traveling the world to 46 countries and counting, whenever I had the chance, around my full-time job. Walking tours have always been my favorite way to experience a new city, the people and the culture. I've been leading tours and a team of amazing guides here in Denver since 2015 as a way to have fun, work with and meet amazing people, like you, from all over the world. Experience the top sights, landmarks, mystery, legend, lore and history of our Mile High City's infamous Capitol Hill neighborhood from my insider's perspective or that of one of my teammates, Rachael and Rebecca... hope to see you soon!

Where you'll be
We'll begin our tour at the sight of the now demolished Henry Treat Rogers Mansion then move on to Cheesman Park and Stoiberhof. We cross to the other side of Capitol Hill and have the opportunity to visit the Croke-Patterson Mansion , the Sheedy Mansion, the Peabody-Whitehead Mansion (Denver's most haunted home), the Dunning-Benedict House, the Molly Brown House, St. John's Cathedral, and wrap up your evening at the haunted Morey Middle School.

Ghost of Capitol Hill tour/ Mariah was an excellently fun experience! A very fun way to get outside and learn some history/ ghost stories of Denver! The night starts out with one of the best ghost stories I've heard in awhile -- what is even cooler is that all the stories are based on facts and are not fictional. There are also pictures and some amazing facts about the city of Denver. The tour snakes around a small radius of the city and you visit some great locations/ landmarks of the city. The walking tour is very manageable and is accessible to anyone -- all abilities.
Mariah was an excellent story teller! she told the stories in such a way that made you feel like you were part of the story/ could easily visualize the facts she was telling. Even better was that the stories that were told gave me chills, even after the tour ended. The stories were fascinating to listen to.
A very unique and fun experience that should be added to anyone's trip to Denver or even if you live in the city and are looking for a new thing to do -- there were some locals on our tour!
