What you'll do

Your Sweet Farm visit will kick off with a tour of the farm and the opportunity to meet many of our rescued farm animals. Cows, goats, sheep, chickens & even a quirky llama will greet you on your visit around the farm. You'll learn their stories and how your food choices impact animals like them. After the tour, you'll spend time in agriculture fields picking fresh vegetables and flowers. You'll learn about heirloom seeds and the importance of preserving them for generations to come. We may even end the day with a vegan wine tasting, if you are interested!

Learn more about Anna

Anna

When a career change relocated Sweet Farm co-founders, Anna Sweet & Nate Salpeter, from Seattle to the Bay Area - they fulfilled their dream of buying land and dedicating it to the pursuit of ending inhumane factory farming practices. Both long time animal advocates and volunteers at local rescues, they wanted to find a way to maximize their impact and educate people on how to live more humane and sustainable lives. The couple still works full time in tech, and now has a staff dedicated to working with the animals of Sweet Farm and helping spread our message.

More tips

We will get up close and personal with many of our rescued farm animals, but given the trauma they've experienced in their lives we do it only at their pace. Some days our animals are feeling more shy and we will view them from a distance, while other days they are ready for affection!
