What you'll do

Immerse yourself in Athens 3.000-year rich history and stroll through the capital with an expert guide. Grab the opportunity to see the city through the eyes of a local and a passionate traveler at that. Avoid the large tour groups with this semi-private tour, only up to 6 people are allowed, so the experience will be personalized.

Together we will walk around the city for approximately 2 hours, during which you will discover different spots, have opportunities for great photographs, learn about Athenian history, visit famous landmarks and you will also receive important advice that will save you time, money and will jump-start your journey.

Our tour starts at a modern part of the center, the National Library, which is easily accessible via Panepistimio metro station. We will see the Parliament and visit the National Garden, a green oasis in the heart of Athens. We will also encounter the Temple of Zeus, the Roman Agora, walk the pedestrianized streets around Acropolis, visit a majestic viewpoint and get lost in the traditional neighborhood of Plaka. Then we will feel the lively vibes of Monastiraki, where many cafes, restaurants, and shops are located. Our tour will conclude at Thissio, where we will see the Keramikos Cemetery of Ancient Athens. During our journey, you will learn the city’s history and hopefully get a grasp of the little quirks our beautiful capital has.
Other things to note
- Please be at the meeting point 10-15 minutes earlier
- During the tour we are not entering any archaeological sites.
- It is recomended to take the tour at the beggining of your journey so you can use all our tips and advice in the optimal way.

Hello, my name is Evanna, I am Athenian born and raised. I consider myself an extroverted person with a great passion for traveling, exploring new places, discovering different cultures and meeting new people.

I have earned a Bachelor Degree in Media, Culture, and Communication at Panteion University of Social and Political sciences.

Since I was young I had an affinity for my country's rich past. History and Mythology were regularly a pastime affair for me. As a result, I have attended classes in Archaeology and Classical History. I also own The Vellum International Diploma in Travel and Tourism.

I have professional experience as a Tour Guide in Semi-Private Groups and have worked in Sales in the past.

Evanna was a really great host. We booked a private tour as we were a family of 5. She was very knowledgeable about her city Athens and explained everything with so much passion. It also felt like hanging out with a friend. She was even accommodating when we asked for the appointment to be moved an hour later as we arrived late the day before and our kids were tired. Really great service! I can highly recommend her!

Evanna’s tour was excellent! She took us around all the main sites of the city, and knew all the stories for all the major points and buildings around Athens. She gave great answers to any questions we had, and gave some great recommendations for bars, sites and areas to visit while we are here. Would strongly recommend this tour as a way to get to know the city!

We did a tour with Evanna on the first day of our trip to Athens and it was really useful and great. She is very easygoing and helpful. There were some protests going on the day we did the tour but still managed to take us around and show the best bits of Athens. Thanks Evanna
