What you'll do

Get ready to snowshoe Colorado's beautiful outdoors on this adventure. I'll take you to my favorite snowy trail and wow you with the winter beauty of my backyard.

Includes:

Equipment: Snowshoes / or microspikes and poles, gaiters
Experienced and knowledgeable guide
A whole lot of fun

This snowshoe hike is a good intermediate level and accessible for most people of reasonable fitness levels. We will reach a top elevation of 10,200 feet so oxygen will be thinner in this mountain environment. The hike is a little bit harder earned but it's worth every step and you'll feel a wonderful sense of accomplishment when we're done. We will travel a total of 5.5 miles and go up and down hills equaling 650 feet. We'll enjoy beautiful scenery, crisp mountain air and Colorado at it's finest.

What to bring:
Dress in warm layers. Avoid cotton please.

Bring a coat to go over your layers

Wear water proof hiking boots, I recommend Gore-Tex

Knit hats and winter ski mittens / gloves (liners too if you have them)

Try to avoid any cotton clothing, especially anything against your skin. Wicking synthetics are best

A small backpack to carry water and your extra layers should you remove any

Sunglasses & sunscreen

A fully charged camera

3 of your best friends

A FACE MASK, HAND SANITIZER and a BANDANNA.
Runny noses and throat clearing are normal in winter, you'll want that bandanna.
Other things to note
Not recommended for those with heart conditions, lung conditions or other major medical. Please let me know if you have Raynaud Syndrome.

I am native to Colorado and explore it's wonderful hidden gems all the time. My Co-Host Lisa is also a Colorado native. We met on a hiking trail and became fast friends. We both have a passion for everything Colorado and we can't wait to share all of our inside knowledge with you.

I have worked in the travel industry as a private flight safety attendant, a wholesale tour specialist, tour guide & group travel coordinator. I plan local and global excursions for large groups, I teach map and compass navigation and I am certified in Wilderness First Aid. I love climbing Colorado's famed 14, 000 ft mountains and I also love technical canyoneering. If you want to see my adventures, check out Yeti Set Go BIG dot com.

Expect to smile, laugh and make new friends when you join an adventure that I have planned.

Wendy is such an awesome person! The tour itself was perfect too! She picked us up in Denver and told us all about the city. She stopped at great places with gorgeous views and helped us take pictures as well. The flatirons were amazing and I truly enjoyed the weather research center. The backdrop to everything was breathtaking and thanks to Wendy she knew just where to take us to get the spectacular views! Also, I am definitely not a hiker nor am I very active, but this hike was doable and Wendy made me feel like I was a pro! My husband and I really enjoyed the hike and her company. She was so fun and thoughtful! We definitely recommend booking her for anything tour or hike she offers!
