What you'll do

I will guide you through my favorite trails in Pacific Spirit Park, an urban forest with areas of second-growth trees.

Experience ways to increase the connection with yourself and nature, as we explore the natural life of the Pacific Northwest among beautiful Cypress, Douglas Fir and Maple trees. We will draw upon meditation and mindfulness practices, using nature as a way to rejuvenate ourselves and slow down our minds.

I will offer a guided meditation with advice on how to stay present and mindful through the experience.
We will alternate between walking silently and taking breaks as needed, in order to make our experience as rewarding as we can. This will be an easy hiking experience, as our intention will be to slow down and be more attentive in order to take in more through our senses.
Other things to note
Bring water and food as needed. Wear comfortable clothes according to weather conditions. Wear extra layers, as we will be outside for several hours, and bring rainwear if there is a chance of rain.

Where you'll be

Pacific Spirit Park is a beautiful inner city forest in Vancouver, close to the University of British Columbia. Just over 30 years ago this park was ancestral territory to the Musqueam First Nations people. Spiritual rituals and traditions were regularly performed, until the park was established by Vancouver.

We really enjoyed our magical morning with Kashi. He has a very calming, peaceful, grounded energy which set the tone for our time together. In the hustle and bustle of life, it was so refreshing to have an intentional time set aside to really be in the present moment and pay attention to our surroundings. As silly as it sounds, having a guide to be there as you explore, to lead meditations, and encouraging us to sit next to and commune with the old majesties in the forest gave me a new permission for a deep sense of peace and relaxation. I feel like I’ll forever interact with the forest differently, like I learned how to properly do it, especially with family in tow!

This was a fantastic experience, after meeting with kashif I went on to hike up mount wells, (second time this week) the experience was suddenly so much more rewarding. Such a lovely experience and Kashif was so generous with his time. He was wonderful in attending to my needs as I don’t need too much and just wanted to be in the experience, however should I have wanted more direction, I know he would no doubt have given. highly recommend!

Enjoyed meditation, setting intentions, and mindful walking. Beautiful setting. Excellent poem! We felt calm and relaxed after the walk. Kashif had a calm and knowledgeable presence.
