What you'll do
Needing to clear your mind from all the caipirinhas you have enjoyed? Do you want to find some calmness and relaxation while getting in a bit of movement during your stay?
Join us for morning yoga on Ipanema Beach! We will start class with the creation of an intention and grounding, an opportunity for you to connect with your breath and connect with the moment and beauty surrounding us. We will gently begin to move the body and eventually move into a slow flow practice. Postures will be held longer to allow our bodies to fully stretch and open. We will practice poses (asanas) which will increase our strength, flexibility, and balance, all while releasing toxins and stress. After the gentle flow portion of our class we will begin to bring our heart rate down and allow our bodies to melt on to our mats while releasing in to forward folds, twists, and gentle inversions. We will close our practice by fully surrendering our bodies to our mats and allowing our minds to begin to drift and our bodies relax.
Classes are open to all levels and body types. Modifications will be offered as needed. No poses are ever mandatory. Each class is taught with the utmost love and compassion for all students.
Other things to note: This is an all levels yoga class. ALL people are welcome regardless of fitness level, build, or experience! Dress comfortably and bring water and towel.

I am passionate about teaching yoga and helping people learn more about their bodies, live healthier, and learn to slow down in our hectic lives. I have been an avid yoga student for 14+ years and am formally trained as a Registered Yoga Teacher RYT-200, recognized by Yoga Alliance. Depending on my clients' needs, I offer a variety of levels of yoga focusing on strength, flexibility, stretching, and most importantly, connection with the breath. I offer slow flow, restorative and yin, and meditation classes. I have taught all over the world to students from various countries and believe that yoga is relative to all, regardless of culture, size, age, or sex. We all have benefits we can receive from yoga practice. And while my classes are meant to sooth the body and calm the mind, I always find a way to make them fun!

Where you'll be
We will meet at Ipanema Beach Posto 10 and have our class on the beach nearby. Ipanema beach is a beautiful beach with gorgeous sunrise views.

This is a great experience for either a visitor or a local looking for a great relaxing experience. I felt like the rest of my day was a little bit sunnier and tranquil after my morning session with Alyssa.

Please bring a towel to practice on and water! Sunglasses and sunscreen recommended!
