What we’ll do

Experience the elegance of traditional ballroom dancing mixed with gracefully executed, stylized moves. We'll discuss the rich culture that created this style and enjoy a private dance lesson with Easy Al, a master instructor and creator of The Showplace. Then we'll have dinner at a reserved table for a couple hours of open dance. Yes, you’ll be able to dance after learning just a few basic steps!

What else you should know

Dress in whatever you wear when you go out for a night on the town. If you have dance shoes, bring them. If not, wear comfortable shoes with a smooth leather sole to turn easily on the dance floor.

We'll meet in the lobby of The Showplace, a dance venue popular with Detroit ballroom dancers that offers weekly dance classes and special events.

Guest requirements

Up to 10 guests ages 18 and up can attend.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.

Alcohol

This experience includes alcohol. Only guests who meet the legal drinking age will be served alcoholic beverages.
