Welcome to Blossom St. Yoga Shala, my beautiful home yoga studio for your personalized yoga & meditation experience! Here we will meet to discuss your practice & desire for our session. Your unique private session is focused on one or combo of: -Hatha Yoga Work with your practice & provide guidance on poses, breath work & meditation. Couple or individual focus welcome! -Somatic Restorative Completely supported & tailored for your body. I have all the props to support you through a restorative practice that will soothe & nourish your central nervous system. -Yoga Nidra We will start with an overview of the body from a yogic perspective. YN is a meditation practiced laying down, fully guided body scan & deepening of relaxation as brain waves decrease & body/mind rests in the fourth state of consciousness. -Loving Kindness/Mettā I will guide you through mediation practice, focusing first on the breath & moving into mettā. You will learn the practice & process for doing mettā meditation on your own. -Altar Practice We will work together to create an altar practice for your use while at home or traveling, guided by awareness of the seasons, the chakras & your personal values.

I'm a yoga & mindfulness teacher with expertise in working with students with a range of physical abilities. I offer hatha yoga, somatic, restorative, yoga nidra, altar practices, loving kindness meditation & chanting experiences to my guests. I have been teaching yoga & mindfulness since 2004 & am an E-RYT 500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level which means I've completed over 500 hours of training & taught more than 2000 hours). I love being of service, offering my guests a safe, conscious, specific & relaxing experience. My Yogi, Know Thyself ™ program is an exploration of self-study in a sourced & experiential space of personal practice. I also have a Masters in Public Health & understand the research and efficacy of yoga & mindfulness practice in improving population level health & well-being.
Where you'll be
-Blossom St. Yoga Shala--my private yoga studio located on one of the prettiest streets in central Houston, adjacent to a nature preserve. -Buffalo Bayou trails--if you'd like a walking meditation we will go down to the bayou to explore on foot or bike the flora and fauna that makes our bayou city so unique. We will also see what happens when the bayou rises, such as it did in 2017 in Hurricane Harvey.
