My name is Dayami. As a farmer’s daughter born and raised on a farm on the outskirts of Havana, I’m passionate about fresh farm produce, its smells, traditional food and marketplaces in general. Hence, I intend to help you discover this fascinating world in my city from my perspective and imbue you with this passion and knowledge.
I’ve used my farming backgrounds and skills as a local guide for some years now to create an experience that allows visitors not only to connect with the local food market but with the interesting array of marketplaces in Havana as well. By joining me, you opt for a one-of-a-kind cultural experience with vendor interaction, fresh smells, chats with business owners, delicious food samples and cultural traditions.

Dayami is absolutely fantastic and I can’t recommend her enough! Definitely book her. So sweet helpful and easy to get along with. One of the gems of my trip (and this was my 6th trip to Cuba!)

This was a great tour :) Our tour guide went above and beyond! Not only did she take us to try amazing food, see markets and find great souvenirs but she also guided us to a local store where we needed to purchase items (Not related to tour). This was much appreciated because we wouldnt have found it on our own! If you are headed Cuba... definitely pick this experience :)

Great experience with a very personable individual. She even went out of her way to assist in finding an iron in which I desperately needed and wouldn’t of been able to find without her.

We had a wonderful day with Dayami. She had very thoughtfully put together an itinerary that explained the markets, food stores and bodegas in Havana. She was easily able to explain all the various ways the Cuban people have learned to adapt and source the needed foods for daily life. It was fascinating. In the end we even got an opportunity to stop in a local restaurant to enjoy some typical Cuban Snacks. It was well worth our time and good value for the money we spent on the tour.

This tour is good to know more deep about local life in Havana. By going through all the very local markets, Yaneli told us lots of history about economy in Cuba and how is the local life which us, a non-local will never know. Yaneli is also very knowledgeable and always patiently explain everything to us. I enjoyed the tour a lot because I came Cuba not only for sightseeing, but also wanted to know more about the local life.
