What you'll do
Woven wall hangings have taken the DIY world by storm, and in this workshop you will learn all the necessary skills to create your own work of textile art on a customizable frame loom! While wall-hangings are great, this workshop is all about discovering potential in woven forms, be it a wall hanging, dish towel, or material study to frame and showcase. The possibilities are endless! All materials provided will be eco-friendly and of the highest quality to ensure sustainability and long-lasting of your finished piece! Come sip local coffee in Shea's beautiful sunlit studio in SE Portland and watch your woven project come to life!

Shea is the designer and founder of Open Air Museum, a Portland based sustainable clothing line sold both online and across North America. Shea learned to weave in college and holds a BFA in textile design. Weaving has remained a special part of Shea's life since and is an influencial part of what propelled her into pursuing a career in fashion design.

Where you'll be
The workshop will take place in Shea's design studio, situated in a historical building full of artists in inner southeast Portland. The space is the perfect naturally lit setting to be inspired and learn a unique skill!

attendees arrange their own transportation to and from the studio. note, this is an older building & therefore the summer can get quite hot and vise versa with the winter- dress accordingly!
