Where you'll be

Coba is an ancient city sorounded by 5 beautiful fresh water lagoons, built by the maya civilization more than a thousand years ago. It has beautiful green jungle trails were bird songs are heard as you go through them and has one of the very few temples (pyramids) of the area that you can still climb, and at the same time the tallest from the Yucatan. It is incredibly beautiful and interesting!

Tania was really nice and personable on this experience. She is very knowledgeable about the ruins as well as any type of Mexican history. She answered all of my questions and made me feel very welcome. I'm glad to have met a local that could allow me to learn about this!

Our family really enjoyed our trip to Coba. We learned alot about the Mayan culture and history. Tania picked us up right on time as planned and was super friendly! Her vehicle was really nice, super clean and we felt very comfortable. Coba is a very impressive historical site and Tania brought along some diagrams of what it looked like during the age of splendor. Great experience with a very knowledgeable host!

Tania was a remarkable host. She had such passion and drive for the history of the area. Very well versed in the construction and community life of the inhabitants of Coba. There is a great sense of the time she has devoted to gaining the knowledge of Coba. She has made the ascent and descent of Coba over 200 times. The ability to go to the ruins in the evening with no crowd was great. Biking through the ruins is an extra treat. It gives you ability to see so much about the ruins. It being such a vast complex. This is a must do excursion for anyone! It will be one of most culturally enriching experiences of your life. More especially if you use Tania’s service. From the time of booking she was very attentive and responsive. Her English is top notch and great for a translator as well. She was punctual on meeting up. Her driving was extremely safe. My daughter and I felt more than safe and cared for the entire time in Tania’s company. We were more than appreciative for Tania. Her husband was out and her father and lady friend were in town. She left her family to make sure we were accommodated. She let us book on her off weekend. As for further, I left my wallet in her glove box. She was willing to come back that night to bring to me. I told her we were good and asked for meeting next day. She was there with it. She even took my daughter and I into town with here and took us shopping. Tania made sure we knew where to eat and where to go. What to look out for and be aware of. This woman is one of the truly good women of the world. I would go anywhere with her. I highly recommend this trip and Tania for anyone. Tania ended up meaning a great deal to me and my daughter. Tania was just as magical and as much of a National treasure as Coba itself!

More than just a sunset ... Tania is so friendly, intelligent and fun to listen to about Coba as well as any topic. To be at this site late afternoon was perfect to experience how special Coba is. It was quiet and only a few other people were up on top with us. It felt very special and was simply beautiful.

Tania’s tour though the ruins of Cóba is an absolute must during your stay in the Yucatán. From the start, Tania proved both friendly and very knowledgeable, answering our many questions and going in depth about the history of the region as we drove to the ruins. She also gave us a valuable local’s perspective on Tulum, discussing the realities of contemporary life there, both for the Maya and newcomers, that a tourist might be completely unaware of. Once we arrived at the ruins, we were immersed in the mystery and wonder of the ancient Maya. As Tania guided us through the site, she explained more about the culture and knowledge of the ancients, and how that relates to the remnants of what we see now at Cóba. The climb up the pyramid takes some mild effort (nothing an able-bodied person can’t handle), but the view from the top and the epic sunset proved absolutely breathtaking. Its beauty can’t be described in words, so be sure to go and see for yourself, as this is something you won’t want to miss!
