What you'll do
This tour is the perfect choice if you like baroque and landscape art, royal mansions, medieval castles and want to enjoy the riverside, squirrels and ducks in the most ancient public park of Turin, regardless of the season.
The Valentino park is a must to see in Turin and you will appreciate it even more with someone who has been living in the city for 44 years that will show you, with knowledge and humor (why not!), also some hidden spots.
It's also nice to walk alone, but with an insider's explanation, without missing even a corner and in good company, it will be quite another thing!
The park hosts the Rock Garden (crossed by paved paths, little streams, water features, terraces), a French style baroque Castle owned by the royal family, a charming Medieval Village with its artisan shops and drawbridge, the impressive Fountain of the 12 Months and much more.
I'll be also at your complete disposal for any questions about Turin/Italy: what to visit, where to eat, transport, culture, language, etc. to make your experience as useful as possible. Consider me like your LOCAL FRIEND, not a guide!
*** IMPORTANT: The visit can start between 11am and 5pm, depending on the weather/season: CONTACT ME BEFORE BOOKING.
✓✓✓ Please WRITE to me BEFORE booking (WhatsApp: +393394604885 or here) also since, depending on your availability and language, another day/hour would fit you better

I want to provide what I look for when I travel: good places to visit, good company and good memories! Consider me your LOCAL FRIEND, not a guide!
I was born and raised in Turin and I am graduated in Art and Cinema History at the University of Turin. I'm a teacher of Italian for foreigners and speak also English, French, Spanish and some Portuguese.
In 2010 I started to work for some relocation companies that support the expats in their "new life" in Turin and for several companies which provide private language tutoring.
I'll be at your complete disposal for any questions you may have about Turin/Italy: what to visit, where to eat, transport, culture, language, etc.

Where you'll be
We will go inside the Valentino park and we will see all open public spaces focusing on their history, beauty, function, past and present, in a relaxed walk.
During the tour, you can buy something to eat/drink at the several food stands (bring some cash for that) and relax a bit if you will be tired. I am very flexible, if possible!

Melissoula was such an amazing tour guide! This was one of the top attractions to visit on my trip to Turin and the experience was made even better by being given detailed insight and backstories into each room and architectural design of the villa. Thanks You!!!

What a great experience! I would recommend this for anyone visiting Turin, even if you're only in town for a few days. It's a great way to learn a bit of history, art, and culture in a lovely place. This villa is now a public music library, but there's no way that you would be able to see it's hidden nooks and crannies without a guide -- and it's stunning! Melissoula was also great about giving me other tips for things to do in town. Really appreciated having her as a guide.

It's great to not just walk the beautiful streets of Turin with it's charming architecture but instead having a little context and be let into some of the secrets that make the place so magical. I'm in love with the architectural details and I have to say that Melissoula has an eye for details as well as a wonderful sense of humor. I appreciated Melissoula's enthusiasm on the topic. Grazie mille! Ciao from Moscow! :)
