What you'll do

This tours generally leaves from our Split office at 8am and returns about 7:00 pm.
The ride from Split is approximately 1hr30. We take a boat tour in the National Park and visit the restored stone houses and watermills. This experience includes 2 parts of the National park: Skradinski Buk and Roski slap. You get a guided tour of both parts and the rest of your time at Krka national park is spent swimming and wandering the beautiful park. In the Ethno village of the Roški waterfall we stop for some spirit tasting at our friend Ante’s homestead (“konoba”) in an authentic rural setting. After the tasting you will have an opportunity to enjoy an OPTIONAL lunch at the konoba for a discounted price - the spirit tasting is on us!
FROM NOV 1 TO MARCH 31 THIS TOUR REQUIRES A MINIMUM BOOKING OF 3 PEOPLE.
Please note that in the winter months (Nov 1 - March 31), the park closes early, the boat trip from Skradin is unavailable but we still have a fantastic time soaking up the nature without the summer crowds.
In consequence, we leave the park at approximately 2pm and visit the seaside city of Sibenik for about an hour, where you can explore this beautiful town and enjoy a late lunch, prior to returning to Split at approximately 4.30pm where we invite to taste some homemade spirits on us -the tour finishes approx. 5.30.pm

Hi! I’m Jadran. I was born in Split and have spent my whole life here. From a very early age I developed a passion for history which led me to study history at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split. There, I studied and broadened my knowledge of local history. Also, I learned to teach and talk about history in a fun and informative way. Besides history, I also received a degree in philosophy which allows me to connect with people with different cultural background.

Where you'll be

You will enjoy a short journey to Krka National Park in our fully WIFI/AC vehicles - as we explain many aspects of Croatian life on the way. There’s lots of swimming opportunities so don’t forget the swimming costume, sun block and change of clothes. Food and drinks are not included in the price, but there are several restaurants where you can have lunch at your own cost.

To say that the tour was excellent is even an understatement. It was awesome and well worth the trip, the time, and the price we paid for. The weather was awesome, we covered a lot of places and we even had a little extra tour in a nearby town after we visited Krka National Park. It was a breeze at the park because there was just us and a handful of people as it is low season/off-season so we did not have to line up for anything. We definitely enjoyed the tour and Tonci was an awesome guide and storyteller. If we ever do this tour in the future, we will for sure book this again.

Krka is a beautiful park and our guide was very knowledgeable! At times the tour felt a bit too scripted for my taste, but he was a wealth of information and the beauty of the river and the waterfalls made up for it. If you choose this experience in the off-season note that the duration of the trip is shorter and you may not make all the stops advertised.

Beautiful drive with a host that really knows his history. Note that a wintertime experience is very different from the one described on here, so may want to reach out to the host to discuss what will actually be included before booking. We did enjoy all we got to see, it was just very different in the winter.

We had a FANTASTIC experience with Ivana of Gecko Tours - she is clearly intelligent and extremely passionate about Croatia and its history. Ivana’s english is excellent and she is extremely articulate and very personable. Both locations were beautiful but contrasting and we had a thoroughly interesting and fun day in great company
