Hi there! My name is Tracy and I was born and raised right here in The Bahamas...we have a saying here that goes " born, bred, ga dead BAHAMIAN" and that describes me in a nutshell! I have lived on several of our different islands as there are many islands that make up The Commonwealth of The Bahamas. I am passionate about Bahamian culture and food....one thing we Bahamians love to do is eat! I also have a background in culinary arts and the knowledge and passion for preparing our native dishes in the most local way, while adding a twist here and there as needed. I would love the opportunity to show you how we create some of the MOST delicious foods and drinks here using ingredients The Bahamas is known for while having fun doing it.

This was a wonderful experience. Tracy made the logistics easy: she got in contact the few days before we were to meet up with her, confirming when our cruise ship was expected in port and telling us where and when she would pick us up. She personalized the experience for us on the fly, allowing us to attend a local festival (where she was a vendor!). The outdoor kitchen was awesome. It was clean, well set up, and well appointed. Tracy's instructions were clear and her knowledge evident. The food we made was delicious. In addition to the food, we made great drinks, listened to good music, and she showed us her family's parade gear for Junkanoo (I put on the huge head piece for a minute). We even watched some videos on her phone to get a sense of what Junkanoo is like. We enjoyed talking to Tracy about lots of different things - she's quite knowledgeable about the islands and local culture. I enjoyed her ability to switch her accent on and off at will. She was on time to pick us up, and made sure we were back in plenty of time to get back on the cruise ship. Overall, it was a great way to get a bit of legit local flavor and take a break from the canned cruise ship/downtown stuff.

Out family of 5 were picked up in 2 cars by Tracy and Jamal. We made a couple of stops to pick up ingredients from their local stops...what a great way to shop! And we had refreshments along the way! We listened to them tell us all about the island and what it was like growing up there, as well as learning the history. My 3 daughters (15, 13,11) were nervous at first...”cooking with strangers at their house is weird!” But they Jamal and Tracy made it fun so they relaxed quickly. I don’t want to give away too much but we had a wonderful time, and learned so much while having fun. It was our best meal of the week! I highly recommend it. Oh, and listen to Tracy on the ingredient recommendation. I didn’t and I made my fish too salty...JUST LIKED SHE WARNED ME! Ha ! But a great memory! We made new friends!

This experience was much more than we expected! During our ride, Tracy told us all about the history of Nassau and made suggestions for our week ahead. The class was very enjoyable. We actively participated in making multiple Bahamian dishes, that were much more fresh and quality than what you would get at local restaurants. Tracy made everything easy and she was very personal. I highly recommend this experience!

We had a wonderful afternoon and learned a lot about the Bahamian kitchen and lifestyle. The group was small and the atmosphere was very familiar.

Tracy was wonderful! She was so responsive and flexible when I reached out to her about customizing a class that would be kid-friendly. She could not have been more accommodating. The class was fun, Tracy was full of knowledge and great stories, my kids had a blast, and most importantly, they tried new foods. Highly recommend!

I loved the day I spent cooking with Tracey and her family. I was travelling solo and they made me feel immediately comfortable upon pickup. The dishes I made were better than any I tried in restaurant. They’re was plenty of food to go around and drinks. Along the drive they showed me local life and the east side of the island. Would recommend this experience to others
