What you'll do

I will come and pick you up at your preferred location in Malmö. Then we will drive for about an hour to Kullabergs's nature reserve. When we arrive, our hike will begin down to Nimis! After we reach Nimis, we will have a typical Swedish fika.

Nimis is a site-specific work of art by Lars Vilks at Håle Stenar in northwestern Scania. It consists mainly of several wooden structures, erected by driftwood, planks and tree branches. The work is unlawfully placed in Kullaberg's nature reserve, which since the first version of the building in 1980 has led to regular legal proceedings between the artist and the County Administrative Board in Skåne County. The construction of Nimis began in July 1980 as Vilk's "revenge on the sea" after he nearly drowned, but also as a comment on the prevailing art trend that "nothing was permanent".

We had a lovely time with Ludvig and he told us a lot of interesting things about this very special place and about the places we passed on the drive there.

Ludvig was very friendly and knowledgeable about the place. We enjoyed our trip. He gave us plenty of time to walk around and do our thing. It didn’t feel like we were being rushed. I highly recommend.

Ludvig communicated well, showed up on time, was very personable and friendly, and was very easy to understand and talk to. He has a near perfect command of English and is well traveled and an interesting guy to get to know. We never felt rushed, added a castle stop, and had some delicious snacks for us to enjoy upon reaching our final destination of Nimis. After being in Malmo and Copenhagen the last several days, it was a real treat to travel by car through the countryside and along the coast. Once to the nature reserve, the pace was always leisurely and never rushed. Once to our destination, it was Fika time...time to relax and enjoy the scenery and the driftwood playground. I got the feeling we could have stayed for hours, but rain prompted us to return to the parking area. The hike was never dangerous, but kind of strenuous at times for the old folks but quite easy for our teenagers. Couldn’t be happier with the tour...highly recommended.

The experience itself was more than what I expected. I enjoyed climbing the wooden towers and the hike was not a bad one. Easy down hill. The view is also great. What made the experience extra special was Ludvick himself. He was so welcoming and accommodating. Shared his culture with us and created a great atmosphere. Super chill and funny guy all around. Went for the sticks, left with a friendship. 10/10 totally recomend.

Very educational experience! Ludvig shared knowledge of his countires culture and the world he has traveled. Great sense of humor and communicated well with our entire group. We all shared stories and learned about each others lives and culture. This was a most excellent adventure. I feel like I have expanded my mind and my circle of friends with this this experience. Definitely a high point of my trip, which I will always remember.
