What you'll do

(St. Mary's Glacier)
Join us on a hike up to St. Mary's Glacier all year round (transportation provided from Denver or we can meet at St. Mary's). We will ascend through the stunning Colorado forest and end with a breathtaking panoramic lake view. This is one of our favorite hikes in Colorado (1.5 miles round-trip).

(Indian Hot Springs)
Next, we visit another historic landmark and soak in the natural geothermal cave pools, which will be perfect for our muscles after our hike and is included with the price.

Due to demand of geothermal cave pools the caves sometimes get a little busy but sometimes they are completely empty.

(Beau Jo's Pizza)
Afterward, we will eat lunch at Beau Jo's. The building has been around since 1880 and is one of Colorado's hidden gems. Idaho Springs has a population of 1,717 people and is a gold mining town founded in 1859 during the Gold Rush.
If you want an experience with little risk and a whole lot of reward, this tour is for you. I provide all the equipment, just come properly dressed and get ready to explore all of what colorful Colorado has to offer in one single day.
Other things to note

I am the founder of www.AdventureColoradoTours.com and am a Colorado native. My family has been here for over 100 years. Nature, hiking, and camping is a major part of my life. I frequently attend services they offer to improve my outdoor skills. I hike 2-3 times a week and camp nearly once a month. Camping and hiking allows me to appreciate nature and observe wildlife. I have camped at countless locations throughout Colorado, with groups, by myself, and with my grandfather, who mentored me and was a camp host and fisherman in the state of Colorado for several decades.

We know all the tips and tricks for safe hiking in all climates, especially for those of you coming from lower altitudes. We will share breathtaking bits of nature discovered over 20 years of experience.

Such a wonderful experience! Our guide Bree was very chill and lovely to spend the day alongside. She knew the best side trails and places for views. The geothermal pools were relaxing and the pizza was dope. It was an incredible day we won’t soon forget (partially due to the near-professional photos Bree took along the way!). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Alli was awesome. She was super knowledgeable and just came across as an all around great person. She showed us the sights, regaled us with history facts like the story of Buffalo Bill, and is really knowledgeable about St. Mary’s Glacier, the plant life, and Idaho Springs. I also think the hot springs is the most relaxing thing I’ve ever done in my life, and is a great way to relax after the glacier hike.

Ali was a phenomenal guide. She was very friendly and went out of her way to accommodate the group and make sure everyone felt comfortable and enjoyed themselves. The hike itself isn’t too difficult, and the views by the glacier are beautiful. I think this is a great introduction to CO hiking for anyone coming from out of town. The geothermal pool was the perfect way to relax after the hike, and the pizza place was fantastic. I’d recommend wearing a good pair of hiking boots, bringing plenty of water, and wearing a few layers (temperatures vary throughout the hike).

I took this tour in early September. The hike to the glacier was great and picturesque, yet not difficult. Our tour guides: Rey and Ariel were awesome, very attentive, shared a lot of different stories, and were fun to be around. We enjoyed the glacier and the lake, even jumped into the lake! It was definitely a new experience for me. After the hike we headed to the hot springs and had very relaxing time there. We topped our tour with the lunch at the famous pizza place. I really enjoyed this tour!

First time hiking in the Rockies. Our guide, Breeanne was very engaging, knowledgeable and stopped frequently for hydration breaks. You could tell that she read enjoys what she does and wants everyone to have a wonderful experience! Our group opted for a more adventurous route to St. Mary’s glacier and we were happy with our decision. Lunch at BeauJo’s was a great break. Enjoyed the famous Colorado pizza!! Onto the Thermal Caves, were we soaked in naturally hot mineral water. The perfect way to end our hiking experience!!
