Do it! Marcela is awesome at explaining the whole process an the culture around coffee. The experience felt unique and I loved learning all the numbers that go into coffee processing. With the translation I was even able to practice my Spanish a bit. Also, her dogs are really cute and have awesome names! Also, ask for Nic as your guide. He is personable as well as knowledgeable.

This was an absolutely wonderful experience. If you love coffee, you should go on this tour. We had a delicious breakfast and got to strap on some buckets and pick the coffee ourselves, we learned the techniques and about the coffee plants themselves. Marcela has a beautiful coffee farm, and you can tell that she loves it very much. She was very friendly and knowledgable, making the tour fun and informative.

What a great experience! We were coffee farmers for a day. We learned things about coffee that we will use for the rest of our lives. I’ll never choose inferior coffee again- even if it comes from the “best” regions. I know what to look for now!
