What you'll do

Join us on this food and drink experience to discover some of Edinburgh's hidden food and drink gems and learn why this city has been voted the number one destination to live in the UK. Your Scottish food and drink journey will begin outside the historic Barclay Viewforth Church in Bruntsfield. From there we will visit Edinburgh's biggest park and greenspace, the Meadows, for some history about what really happened on this land that dates back to Medieval times. We will then travel on foot to two artisan areas of Edinburgh where we will visit 4 over-the-counter eateries and two drink establishments to sample some of Scotland's finest alcohol and traditional culinary delights, taking in the history of these areas as we go. Whilst you’re sampling the taster you will find out about how that particular food was lovingly made. If you're up for a good time and love food, drink and a bit of history thrown in, then this tour of Edinburgh is perfect for you! P.S. It has been recommended by other guests who have come on this tour to do the tour at the beginning of your trip. That way if you enjoy the eateries we visit you can go back and revisit them :) Slangevar!

Karly

Hi, I'm Karly and I love my city! I'm an Edinburgh native, a qualified historian with 10 years teaching experience and I know my city like the back of my hand. My passion is to take visitors to Edinburgh's hidden food and drink gems away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. I lived in Spain for 6 years so taking family and friends back and forth from Spain to Scotland allowed me to share my passion for Edinburgh's culture, food and drink. I created my tour to give visitors an authentic take on Edinburgh through the eyes of its locals whilst giving back to the community by providing custom to local independent eateries. Come join me on this food experience, I can't wait to show you around!
