Cold meats from Tuscany : the famous Tuscan cured meats along with a glass of fine red wine in the framework of one of the oldest wine bars of the city;
Tuscan Soup: one of the most famous dishes of the Pisan farmers' tradition: homemade bread, savoy cabbage, pork, onions, potatoes and beans.
Ribollita: another dish from the farmers’ tradition, in one of the most typical and lively trattoria of Pisa.
Pisan breed stew: or Uccelletto style beans with sausage: rich and traditional Pisan dishes, to taste in one of the best local taverns! You will not be able to taste it anywhere else!

My experience wasn't with Daniele but with a lovely lady called Sacha. She was very friendly and seemed to know Pisa very well. I was travelling on my own so I used it as a way to socialise and meet new people. I would highly recommend this tour. Do not eat breakfast! And i recommend taking the extra drinks option.

What a fantastic experience.
Sasha was wonderful, friendly, open and informative.
The food was more than plentiful and great quality. Our favourites where
(1) Tagliere = salumi, formaggio, crostini
(3) Zuppa Toscana & Trippa
(4) Pici (the 3 pasta type)
All finished off with Geleto !
The walking wasn’t strenuous and needed to stroll off the different courses.
If you didn’t eat it all, you could have it in a doggy bag for later.
A great food trip with local historical information along the way.
Thanks Sasha !

Sacha our guide, was so friendly and so passionate about what she does. It was a pleasure spending time with her; eating 5 authentic dishes with local wine, in family run establishments. We chose to eat inside as locals do and this really did enhance the experience, everyone was so friendly. If I was to make a criticism it would the last savoury establishment - it didn’t feel in the same league as the others. The food was served in plastic compartment dishes, the wine in coloured tumblers and the food wasn’t as good (nothing to do with the tripe, I’ll try and eat anything). But that said, it didn’t change how we felt about the tour, it was fantastic especially the cold meats with cheese and the pasta. Sacha made a very positive difference to our holiday, a wonderful memory made, thank you.

Three words of advice: don't eat beforehand! We stopped at 5 local establishments, each off the beaten path in the city of Pisa. Each stop was a little different, and each delicious! Sacha is friendly and knowledgeable and provided us with great insight into Tuscan culture and cuisine, as well as a tour of the city and it's history in between stops. Highly recommend!
