What you'll do

We’ll meet bright an early to catch first bite at 6am and depart the docks at 6:30 after our briefing and game plan for the day is discussed.

During the day, you’ll be hands on fishing for Alaskan halibut, salmon, rockfish or cod, depending on the charter you choose! We provide tournament grade rods, reels, bait and all tackle for your trip and since this tour will be guided- first timers are always welcome!

The tour last from 6-8 hours depending on type of trip booked (halibut only vs. combo), weather patterns, and fishing limits.

Once we are back to the harbor, all fish will be filleted and prepared for your choice of processing. We use a local company in Homer for processing and freezing of fish and they will meet you at our boat to discuss options you’d like.
Other things to note
All information and questions regarding preparing for your trip will be sent along with your booking confirmation.

Hi! My name is Garrett & I’ve been a professional charter captain for 15 years. My experience started with commercial fishing in Cape Cod & my love for creating a “once in a lifetime” trip for guests brought me into charter fishing Alaska. We are not only locals to Homer, Alaska, but we are family owned and operated!

Most importantly, we take pride in providing quality trips allowing guests to have an opportunity to truly experience an Alaskan adventure! Getting to remote fishing spots allows guests to venture off-shore and not only fish for a variety of Alaskan species, but also viewing marine wildlife, capturing remote Alaskan scenery, and even have the chance to stop into the native town of Seldovia!

Lastly- I like to keep it personal and comfortable with only taking 6 guests per trip!

Where you'll be

During this tour, guests will fish within Kachemak Bay, Cook Inlet, and other local spots off- shore! We like to fish away from the crowds and around scenery you wouldn’t see by staying on land.

We were met promptly by our captain who was friendly and had great stories, he clearly knew what he was doing, even though a bumpy ride out, we safely reached fishing, got our quota quickly. He was helpful and kind. The only downside was I thought (I should have checked) that we would have the chance to continue to fish for other species or on a catch and release policy, as we finished so early we were back in docks by 12.30. For me fishing was about having a day out rather than keeping things. Capt jonny kindly filleted our fish which was above and beyond, thanks .

Captain Sheridan did a great job at making everyone feel comfortable with their skill level and made the entire experience fun. We caught tons of fish of multiple species which was a an excellent surprise ( thought we were just halibut fishing). Ended up with 50 pounds of fish afterwards!! Overall amazing experience!!

With over a 2hr boat ride each way and only two rods in the water for 6 people salmon fishing not everyone was able to reel in fish, some got to reel in multiple while other none. As far as rock fish and halibut, seemed like we went for the “chicken” fish (smaller ones) just to get the “numbers”. Saw other boats coming in with all larger fish (15lb+) and everyone on our boat had 2lb ones or less. Overall our party of 4 got a little of each type of fish, and our grandkids had fun - but not what I was expecting from Alaska fishing and the price.

Capt Sheridan did a wonderful job making sure all guests got on the fish. Some may not got them all but it wasnt for lack of trying. Some Captains would have called it a day, but he kept at it until time was up!

Captain Sheridan was great! He was a really fun captain and kept an active and fun spirit onboard while we all hunted for Halibut. What a great experience!
