What you'll do
The tour will feature 3 different coffee shops in one Colonia, or neighbourhood. At each cafe, we will see how they make, and try, their featured drinks, and talk about how they opened their own coffee shop. We will learn where they source their beans and why they chose to use local farmers. Each guest will have the opportunity to buy coffee beans from each cafe, or other mementos. We will walk from each cafe, allowing guests to really get a feel of the neighbourhood, and learn about hidden gems from a local. The tour will end with recommendations for more coffee shops, food, treats, and drinks!
I am a coffee lover and blogger from Canada. I have had a passion for coffee for many years. My wife and I moved to Mexico City a while ago and are now considered locals here. I have visited countless coffee shops around the world, but have noticed how Mexico’s beans are so amazing, yet so underrated. I want to tell otherwise, and share with others how special coffee here really is. I have interviewed many coffee shops and their owners, and have hand picked the best coffee shops in Mexico City. Not only will people learn about coffee making, but they will also learn about each cafe’s story, what beans they use, and why they themselves are so enthusiastic about Mexican coffee. They will also get a local’s viewpoint of this incredible city.
Specialty coffee at each shop.
