What you'll do
We'll meet at Strathcona Skatepark to learn how to stand, push, and turn on a skateboard. From there, we'll visit a secret street art spot, check out a legendary gelateria with 218 flavors, and marvel at some of the beautiful homes in Vancouver's oldest residential neighborhood. We'll top the day off with a cold beverage at a local brewery or café. If it rains, we'll do the tour on foot and visit the arcade at a local skate shop or skate a nearby indoor vert ramp.
Skateboards Helmet and pads if requested
I've been living in Strathcona for four years and skating for over 10. I've toured Canada in a van full of "SHE-redders" and competed in the DC Nationals, the Stop, Drop and Roll contest in the "30+ Golden Girls" category, and Wheels of Fortune—the biggest all-girls skate contest in North America. I also teach private skateboarding lessons.
