What you'll do

We begin our tour at one of the most beautiful bridges of Budapest, the Liberty Bridge (in Hungarian: Szabadság híd) where we have a drink in the nearest gay bar. This is the first leg where you can marvel at the beautiful illuminated view of the city (UNESCO heritage).
After a friendly chat we will make our way alongside the River Danube where I will unveil to you past and peresent gay history in Budapest with all it’s sides (the dirty and the shiny too).
I can also make you recommendations about the best gay clubs, bars and saunas too. Don't hesitate to ask questions! :)
When reaching the Chain Bridge (Lánchíd) we will continue to the St. Stephan's Basilica, the biggest Roman Catholic church of the capital. Than we have a look at the Andrássy Avenue (The "Hungarian Champs - Élysées") another must see in the city.
We finish our tour in the biggest gay bar of Budapest in the city centre. Here you can also enjoy a karaoke night or a drag queen show. The party never ends here! (The entrance fee is not included!)
I would like to make your stay with me informative and fun at the same time! By the end of your tour, you will definitely feel a part of the vibrant nightlife of Budapest.
Other things to note
In case of rain we will try to make the tour a bit more indoors!

Szabolcs really made my stay in budapest extra special, indulging me into the Budapest gayborhood and how it came about. It was just unique and amazing. I can only recommend.

I was the only one on the tour and Szabolcs was there with me, through out the tour I learned a lot about the history and the facts about the gay scene in Budapest and Hungary in general, he was really happy to answer all of the questions about everything, from culture to architecture. The bars are really nice spots also, I was there during a drag show (which would be my first time at the drag show) and it was amazing. He's really enthusiastic about what he's doing and it feels like having a friend showing you around the city, and being really personalized about the trip. 🏳️‍🌈

Szabi was an amazing host who put on an amazing night. His passion and enthusiasm for Budapest, architecture and love of dogs was matched only by his charm and good humour. His knowledge of the city and its chequered gay past was authentic, insightful and he kept the tour upbeat and interesting.. the bars we visited were warm, entertaining and welcoming and were a great intro to the Budapest scene. We enjoyed the small group tour where we got to meet international travelers and enjoy a fun night out. Great affordable drinks, good music and some of the best drag we've seen internationally made for a good night out. The biggest highlight was to immerse in the gay culture and Budapest lifestyle from a local’s perspective. Would highly recommend Gay Night Tours, Szabi and Budapest to international travelers. We had a truly memorable night. Thanks Szabi! Terry & Tim

Really great tour and we highly recommend. Szabolcs’ tour is very informative and he is a fully certified tour guide with years of experience in the tourism and hospitality sector. It’s also a great way to meet people. We met another couple from Australia and we all laughed a lot. Ended up at Phoenix Bar for the Friday drag show which was brilliant and hilarious. Enjoy. Thanks Szabolcs.

Traveling alone as an introvert, I was very hesitant about doing this kind of thing. I've never done it before, but I wanted to experience some night life while in town. Finally I did it, and it was a very memorable experience. Szabolcs is very knowledgable about his culture, providing great conversation. He knows locals, can get discounts on drinks, and has great commentary on the architecture as we walk from bar to bar. I truly felt like I was a local. Honestly very glad I did this, and would happily recommend to anyone visiting Budapest.
