Experience hosted by Bryan

90 mins

What you'll do

Get hands-on in the glass studio with a local glass artist. We will spend about an hour and a half together, during which time you will get a feel for glass as a material and make your own piece of art. You'll get to work with tools, air, and fire to shape and mold the material into an object of your creation. Glasswork is hot and fast, so be prepared to get your heart rate up and get in a good, healthy sweat.

Please note that glass art needs to temper overnight, so you'll either need to come pick up your piece the day after your session, or I can ship it to you.
Other things to note
The glass studio is an active workspace. I share my studio space with someone who works on CNC machines. He is very friendly and loves meeting new people!

I am the founder and owner of BGOLD Glass, the only furnace glass studio in Boulder. I started blowing glass in the Colorado mountain town of Frisco about seven years ago, and since then I have worked in studios across the country and the world, including the Pilchuck School in Washington State and a private studio in Safed. My work is focused on personal connection and art activism. I work with 100% recycled glass, and to date I have kept over a ton of glass out of the landfill.

You can see more photos of my studio and work on Instagram @bgoldglass.

This was an absolutely amazing experience and such a great way to celebrate an anniversary by creating something truly unique together. From learning about the process to choosing colors and what we wanted to make and all the way to actively participating in its creation. Incredible experience let by a genuine and kind guy who not only makes you feel welcome, but as if you are vital to the process of your creation.

This is a one of a kind experience where you get to be completely hands-on for your own creation. It was fun working as a team with other guests that morning; we coordinated jobs to help one another's piece come to fruition. Bryan has a great attitude, is encouraging, creative, laid back, which helps to minimize the stress/nerves that can happen with newbies trying to work with fire and glass.

With no experience what so ever, Bryan helped me to create a meaningful & lovely piece of glass. I highly recommend Bryan and his studio.

This was something that we wouldn’t have done at home. We both enjoyed the day or time spent making something we thought of ourselves.
