What you'll do
We'll visit the studio of Enrique Ávila González, maker of the iconic "Che" sculpture at Revolution Square which represents revolutionary figure Che Guevara. We'll learn about his art at his home gallery, and he'll share the story of how he made "Che." We'll hang out and sip on authentic Cuban mojitos as we listen to him talk about his sculptures. Then we'll head to Revolution Square to see his most famous works, "Che" and "Camilo," in person.
As a communications student at the University of Havana, I love getting to know different cultures and sharing my culture with others. I grew up surrounded by art, and Enrique Ávila González was my childhood neighbor. I am passionate about his sculptures and love sharing his work with visitors to Cuba.
