Hi, I am Abi and my passion for wildlife conservation brought me to Costa Rica in 2018. After successfully completing an eight month volunteer apprenticeship as a Macaw breeding specialist, I joined the team full time as the visitation manager to help spread the word about these incredible birds. Through gaining extensive knowledge about these birds, I am committed to sharing this knowledge and making other people as excited as I am. I just love for people to feel the thrill of seeing these magnificent creatures spread their wings to take flight and reveal their beautiful colors. I will do everything I can to making this experience your best in Costa Rica!

You will then walk down some 25 steps (100 feet) for a closer view and more information. Once photographs have been taken, people are guided back up for more information and a final wrap up.

This was a wonderful and educational tour. The birds were incredible and the stories told about specific rescues were uplifting. It is great to see these beautiful birds up close and know that they are being cared for, researched, and populations strengthened. Abi is a passionate and educated host. Her mood was infectious and her knowledge about the species and surrounding area is vast. The birds were active and sometime hard to photograph in flight, so try to take some video in addition to photos. I highly recommend this tour and had a wonderful time!
