What you'll do

Your blacksmithing adventure will include three hours of hands on instruction as you create your very own masterpiece.
Your experience will start with a brief orientation to The Forge at Quiver Full Farm. During this orientation time we will make sure each participant is dressed and prepared with all necessary equipment to have a SAFE forging experience. We will be working with equipment that reach temperatures greater than 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. This experience requires participants to be attentive and be able to physically exert themselves. We will have all participants sign a safety liability waiver before starting. If you are under 18 years of age you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate.
Jeremy will introduce you to all of the equipment that you will be using while creating your forged piece. He will give
detailed and guided instruction on how to use these tools. From there you will choose one of four projects to create. Jeremy will be there to guide you, assist you, and maintain a safe working environment while you create your masterpiece.

As a seventh generation native of Madison County, NC I have had the opportunity to grow up in an area full of mountain tradition. I have always had an interest in things of times past and have grown a passion for the art of blacksmithing. I am proud to be raising my family on a small homestead farm in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains.
I enjoy sharing the traditions of our mountains. I have had the opportunity to share the art of blacksmithing with many vacationing guests, family and friends over the years. I hope to have the opportunity to share my love of forging with you.

What an amazing highlight of our trip!! You’re not going to find a better, more patient instructor than Jeremy. He’s hands on in showing you the techniques but also willing to course correct our mistakes while forging. The space is more than adequate to meet safety requirements (max of four spots), including for COVID. It’s definitely a hotter environment (wear suitable clothing) but not terrible to forge with a mask on. Booking was also easy with Haley!

This experience was truly a one of a kind. Jeremy is warm caring individual who had wealth of knowledge on a variety of subjects and professional expertise in forging. I felt safe and welcome the entire time and learned so much. Jeremy was kind enough to help my partner and I make unique crafts based on our tastes. 6/5 stars! I would do this again and would absolutely recommend this to friends, families, and strangers alike! PS If you get to see Gus the kitty, he’s a totally cuddle bug and added bonus!

Great experience and the guide was very knowledgeable. I would recommend to reach out to the hosts first before booking to make sure they are not overbooked.

What a great experience! This was a gift for my husbands 40th birthday and we both had a blast! We each had our own anvil to work on and are super proud of the knife / tomahawk we forged! Jeremy was a great teacher!
