What you'll do

Seochon (서촌, which translates as "West village") is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Jongno-gu in northern Seoul. Korea's tradition is truly well balanced with many modern and stylish spaces that bring out the authentic and simple beauty and coziness of Seochon Village.

First, TONGIN MARKET Lunchbox. It is my favorite place to try all of street foods. The small arcade style market is packed to the rafters with all kinds of wonderful traditional Korean street foods. You will have a chance to experience the authentic local culture and taste the best street food in town!
One of the most charming things about this market, is that you can exchange money for a collection of old coins and a lunch box. You can then use these coins to buy foods to fill your lunchbox.

And then, we will look around Seochon alleys and drink healthy herbal tea at Hanok(traditional Korean style house). It's actually located in Korean Oriental Medicine, so if you want to try, you can have a therapy (not included in this tour, optional).

If you have any further inquiries after the tour is finished, don't hesitate to contact me via me social media contacts.
Other things to note

This was a great experience with a very personable and knowledgeable host that I would recommend to anybody looking to explore the Seoul. Particularly, this event gives you a great, hands-on, connection to Seoul's history as you navigate seamlessly between the high tech world and dive into the peace of the Hanok village. If that weren't enough, the food and market experience is awesome. Plus Soyeon can provide abundant food and sightseeing recommendations. All you have to do is ask!

Very unique experience where you can try variety of korean traditional market food. What is great is that you can choose what you want to eat and portions are small enough so you can try different variety as opposed to just 1 or 2 and be full.

Very cool experience into some local market, trying local street food, walking around a Hanok village. Soyeon is a great host and the atmosphere was really good. We ended up drinking a herbal tea in a very local teahouse.

I had seen the coin food market thing in TV and I was really happy I could enjoy the experience in good company.Soyeon is a great listener and I talked maybe more than I should have but somehow the atmosphere was really good. We had herbal tea together and walked around and I enjoyed every minute of it.
