I am a teacher and performer who uses Japanese swords to express the heart of ancient Japanese tradition, something that cannot be found in museums or TV and web. My Passion is spreading the real spirits of samurai to the world. I have practiced swordsmanship for 14 years. I have a master grade 5th dan and black belt in sword martial arts “Tou-dou”. I also play Japanese style bamboo flute, sometimes with my partner. I have taught and shown sword skills to over 2,000 people from all over the world. I’m a first prize winner of tournament for sword skills(All japan “Toudou” big competition 2018)

Yuseke provides an amazing experience! From start to finish I was immersed in Japanese culture and felt like I was experiencing the “real” Japan. If you are in Tokyo, this experience is an absolute must!

A definite “must” when visiting Tokyo. A fun, true cultural experience hosted by a master swordsman and artist. Yusuke sensei provided a great lesson into the world and way of the samurai. Truly a great experience especially given the time constraints. Highly Recommend!! Show up early as requested to maximize your experience. There is a small but really good cafe across the street- Cafe Nobaruko to pass the time if you are too early :)

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience! I wish we had more time to do drills with handling the katana (and this is just me probably needing to attend actual lessons). That said, what was provided was enough to cut the bundle of straw. You'll also have opportunities for taking pictures so get those poses ready! Yusuke will gladly help you out with ideas if need some like he did for us though. Overall, great class. I'm very happy I did it!

Three reasons to book here: 1. Great location, close to the Akihabara station. 2. Very Responsive Host, even at the smallest questions. 3. The space itself is spacious, considering the space they are working with.

Once in a lifetime experience! This experience was BEYOND our expectations although I was reading the reviews and seeing everybody's 5-star reviews. While I don't want to spoil anyone reading this comment, I was so surprised at how Yusuke-san really trusted us and let us experience everything including touching some very old Katana. It was literally like something we would perhaps see at a museum. Instead, we were holding those katana on our own and were able to ask any question to Yusuke-san. His accommodation throughout the experience was soooo thoughtful - I truly recommend this to anyone who is in the area!

If you are visiting Tokyo I highly recommend you book this experience! It was so nice to take a break from the business of Tokyo and have this lesson on samurai culture. Yusuke was an AMAZING host who kept in contact with me prior to our booking. He made sure he had clothes long enough for my husband who is very tall and clothes that would fit our toddler son. From the tea ceremony to the lesson on katanas to Yusuke’s performance, we had an unforgettable time. On top of all that he was so kind and patient whenever I had to step aside to entertain our son. This was definitely one of, if not our favorite part of our trip to Tokyo.
