What you'll do
We’ll perform a traditional Japanese dance under the direction of professional instructor Ms. Yamamura Wakamizuki. We’ll dance in my Japanese-style room in Osaka. You’ll be shown how to wear a traditional kimono and how to use the equipment, walk, and perform dance in the manner of the Yamamura School, which has 200 years of history in Osaka. You’ll be able to express rivers, mountains, and birds, all under candlelight.
Refreshments Matcha green tea
I'm a science writer, and was born and raised in Osaka. I’ve been volunteering as a guide for over five years, and many visitors have asked me about Japanese culture with fascination. So, I started learning dance under the tutelage of Ms. Yamamura Wakamizuki. I would love for you join me to experience the art of the dance, too.
