What you'll do
Search for the non obvious: sea glass, mermaid's purses, moonstone & shells. Discover and study the behavior of marine life: Pacific Gray Whales, dolphins, seals and sea lions, sea urchin, starfish, cormorants, egrets, hurons, gulls and pelicans. We might see a fish boil, red tide, or beached jellyfish. Learn about the different tides and how they affect our lives in Southern California. Every season, every walk brings a new adventure, a study that requires all your senses. Manhattan Beach to San Pedro is rich in history....you'll get a whole lot more than a tan!
Completely coastal with a mermaid soul. Inspired by water, nature, color and people. I'm an addict for SEA GLASS! All my travels revolve around sea glass, I have pieces from Greece, Italy, the Caribbean and more. I'm an artisan in metal/jewelry smithing. I'm certified as a Whale naturalist and during migration season I volunteer for the Gray Whale census project. Life is an endless classroom.
