What you'll do

ARE YOU READY FOR A ROMAN COOKING EXPERIENCE?
You'll be welcomed into my family home to learn the ancient and famous art of making handmade pasta. We will make pasta from scratch. We will be a maximum of 6 participants like in a real Italian family to make everything more authentic :)

You'll be able to make traditional Italian pasta such as Ravioli and Fettuccine and other pasta shapes too.
Using only the freshest ingredients, I'll also show you how to prepare the famous roman sauces: Amatriciana, Cacio & Pepe, and/or Carbonara.

Of course, after cooking, we'll enjoy what we have prepared in a genuine Italian meal all together with complimentary wine and coffee ;)

*** Possibility to arrange the class with options for other recipes like potato gnocchi, tiramisu, risotto, etc. if you book the private class.

Hello everyone!
My name is Riccardo, I am 27 years old and I was born and raised in Rome.
I have a degree in Food and Wine Sciences from the University of Roma Tre. I love cooking, I learned with my mother and my two "nonnas" (grandmothers).
After high school, I traveled around the world (Africa, Portugal, Spain) for a year to understand what I wanted to do with my life. Back in Rome, I decided to start studying cooking: I attended the Italian Chef Academy in Rome (and obtained the HACCP for food safety) and then moved to some Roman restaurants where I went from theory to practice.
I started with cooking experiences two years ago, and I love them, I hosted more than 1500 people from all around the world, I'm also a WSA Sommelier and love to drink and talk about wine.

Where you'll be

Welcome to my family home and secret garden, an inner-city oasis! We’ll be using my semi-professional kitchen and living room to make pasta and sauces. The Riccardo Cooking Class is located in Monteverde (Gianicolense area), an ancient district of Rome near Villa Pamphili park, reachable by tram and buses.

Overall, it was such a wonderful experience in Rome. I have visited Rome several times but the cooking class with Riccardo will be an one of the most memorable memories. I was asked if I had any allergies or intolerances towards food. Then he prepared ingredients for the pasta of the day accordingly. He is not only a good chef but also a friendly person who went out of his way to make you feel comfortable. after the class with Riccardo, You will be able to add few more menus on your cooking list which are home-made Italian cousins. Plus you will learn how to make sauces from scratch. And there is another thing I love is that the place is warm and cozy. I am sure you will enjoy the pasta you made with a glass of wine and a conversation with Riccardo.

Riccardo was an amazing host and this was the perfect experience to start my trip in Rome! The entire time Riccardo went out of his way to make you feel at home. He is extremely knowledgeable about cooking, pasta making, Italian cuisine and Rome in general. He shared all his knowledge in a fun and engaging way. I left with the confidence to be able to make handmade pasta on my own (and a very full belly). I definitely recommend this experience. It felt extremely quaint and intimate which I don't think you will find from some of the other larger commercial classes

We had a wonderful experience with Riccardo. it was so nice and so exciting to learn how to make fresh pasta and many sauces witha true Italian in is own home. Riccardo is simply great and super super kind. we had a real good time and are happy and thankfull that Riccardo share with us his secrets of a wonderful pasta! we 100 % recommand this cooking class . you will have sch a great time!

Cancellation policy

Cancel up to 7 days before the Experience start time for a full refund, or within 24 hours of booking as long as the booking is made more than 48 hours before the start time.
