Unique and eco-friendly experience, 20 minutes from Nara train station. Jérôme welcomed us warmly to show us around the family estate, his permaculture vegetable garden, the bamboo forest and warm us with a white pine infusion under the gaze of the ancestors. I highly recommend it for getting off the beaten track.

Such a cool, unique experience seeing what Jerome and Hana have built. It is such a stunning location, and we ate so many wonderful fresh items from their gardens

Jerome was a great guide, sharing the history of the property and how he is growing the gardens. It was nice to get out of the super busy areas of Nara and Osaka. We learned a lot and he was super personable. He also speaks a lot of languages which is really impressive! Thanks so much for having us and would recommend for others!

Jerome and Hana’s gardens are inspirational- there about 5 you visit. Definitely worth a visit while in Nara to see how they have transformed the land around their home to amazing edible gardens! Also it was amazing to see their 2 bamboo forests, Japanese garden, traditional Japanese home, and sip tea with them.
Jerome is so kind and welcoming and creative- loved his take on veggie sushi! He is also so knowledgeable about growing food that it is a tremendous pleasure to hear his explanations.
