I had a nice time visiting Traci's home and gallery. She's had a very interesting life and her work showcases her hometown, the 90s hip hop scene, and more in a way that feels both loving and uplifting. Her house is also beautiful and has wonderful details throughout. Highly recommended for visitors to Oakland or Bay Area residents interested in seeing beautiful photographs in a unique setting!

This experience definitely exceeded my expectations and I can’t express how grateful I am to be able to say that following my visit here. I am from Oakland, very familiar with the area, etc… but the knowledge, insight and inspiration that I gained was more than I think I’ve been able to process just yet. I loved seeing the 90’s era via the lenses and experiences of Traci. Make sure you get there on time to get the whole experience and to really enjoy the story telling that pieces it all together.
Located in a historic neighborhood in West Oakland. This is indoor-outdoor walk through gallery experience was a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The exclusive photos of hip hop pioneers/ legends and the beautiful backyard garden exhibit is one of kind. You get to meet the photography and hear the story behind these images first hand.
Highly recommend!

This is a perfect interactive art adventure where you get to indulge in hip hop music history in a neighborhood that grew some of your favorite bay area artists and musicians.
This 2 hour gallery experience takes you on a journey through a time where afro futurism, art and dance came together to birth the iconic 90's era music landscape you know and love.
Legendary Oakland native, dancer and photojournalist, Traci Bartlow, is a charismatic host with a passion for storytelling and hospitality. She has curated a relaxing yet uplifting experience at her boutique hotel and has a delicious assortment of products to accompany your trip. Its a mix of art gallery, urban garden and bed and breakfast. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to share their love of art, music and trees with someone they love.
