I am doing exclusive beadwork since I was young and I am also a cultural tour guide for 10 years. I like to take my guests for a village walk and meet local people from Ndwedwe area. I also like to share all the hidden treasures of Zulu culture which includes beadwork, fetching woods and water in the river. Share stories on how beads were used in order to communicate.
Where you'll be
Village walk around uMngeni River then visit Hlambisa family for beadwork lessons in a round house with the community members. Zulu dance , music will be performed by locals and traditional food will be served.

I have always had a fascination for the Zulu culture and was excited when I found this experience. It absolutely exceeded my expectations. Toe adds such a personal and authentic touch to her storytelling and teaching that you feel like part of her family even for that moment. I enjoyed the beadwork and the food served. This was a wonderful way to see KZN and It's an experience that I highly recommend

We enjoyed our experience with Toe. It’s a long drive but with some interesting things to see on the way.
The time at the village was fascinating. The local ladies wore all their fancy beaded garments & jewelry- really lovely. After our beading lesson, we shared a traditional lunch then the ladies sang and danced, inviting us to join if we wished. It was joyous.
On the way back, I asked if we could go by Ghandi’s first home, as it was on the way. I just thought we‘d stop briefly for a photo, but we had an entire tour of the house and museum. Toe’s clear goal was to make our experience as satisfying as possible. She said “if you’re happy, I’m happy.”
