What you'll do
Together, and with my instructions, we will create a traditional Syrian dinner, full of the delicious food with which I grew up. While we cook, in the professional kitchen of the Amsterdam Cooking School, you'll learn how to create these wonderful dishes in your own kitchen once you get home. Over the evening, you'll have the chance to learn more about life in Syria and what it's like to leave your homeland and live as a refugee in the Netherlands. We'll also listen to different types of Syrian music. Throughout the experience, we'll share stories with one another. We'll combine food, learning, music, culture, and fun in this creative cooking class.

About the organization
Blendin is an online platform that connects newcomers (refugees) to Dutch locals. We see a growing gap between newcomers and Dutch locals and we have one mission: closing this gap by arranging meetups between these two groups. We connect people on the basis of mutual interests, age, and location.
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Blendin.
