What you'll do

Meet me downtown at Austin Bike Tours and Rentals - 102 W 3rd St 78701 - North side of 3rd St between Colorado and Congress. I'll make sure your bike fits and that you know how to use them. We'll go over safe braking, shifting gears, our route and both the formal and informal rules of the road.

Then, we'll set out in search of Austin's bountiful outdoor artistic, natural and cultural offerings.

We'll bike at a chill pace from iconic spot to spot, never more than a couple miles at a time before stopping to learn something new and take photos.

Along the way you'll get to see many of Austin's most famous landmarks as well as take a deeper dive into a local's eye view of Austin's food truck parks, breweries, murals, hidden gems and best of nature!

You'll end up where you started with time to rest and refresh yourself before dinner.

Other things to note
The full route is a little over 10 miles. There are a few hills. There will be options along the way to abbreviate or extend based on how you feel and what you want to see. Overall be ready for three hours of moderate activity.

I'm a native Texan, professional tour guide and avid cyclist! I've worked as a taxi driver and bicycle messenger for years and know Austin's streets better than anyone! I'm bootstrapping a travel company that takes student groups to Cuba and I've led many of those groups. Ages ago I lived and worked as a mountain bike guide in Antigua, Guatemala. I've also led tours in California and Panama.

Gracias.

grwat experience. Ryan showed us face of Austin which I would otherwise have missed. And he jas a way of making it feel like he is just showing his hometown to some friends who came to visit, so lively and enthusiastic

Ryan was an amazing guide and taught me how to change gears and be confident biking! He gave us warnings about roadside hazards and gave timely breaks to make sure we would not tire. Great time, even for a beginning biker!

We weren't sure what to expect when we booked the bike tour, but we were INCREDIBLY happy that we did! Ryan was a fantastic guide and showed us around some of the intriguing spots around Austin. He gave us a wonderful history on the structures, city planning decisions, and cultural movements as we biked throughout the downtown + south Austin areas. We would definitely go on this ride again!

Ryan was a fantastic guide for our intro to Austin. Knowledgeable with historical and sociological notes to add to our understanding of this amazing city. So glad we decided to take this bike tour, it gave us a great perspective for our first visit!
