Barcelona, Spain

What you'll do

This experience is just right for you if you are a foodie and enjoy going off the beaten track, as we will walk hip Gràcia district together! You will have a broad perspective about the gastronomic scene of the area to be able to maybe keep on exploring on your own later during your visit.

To immerse into Gracià's daily life and learn about Spanish culinary culture, we will include a break to enjoy coffee and a typical Catalan breakfast bite (Spanish tortilla or a croissant!?) at some point in the tour.

We will explore the neighborhood by sneak-peeking into artisan workshops, local designer shops, cool co-working spaces and eco stores, getting to feel how locals Barcelonians live their routine. Learn why residents from Gràcia still refer to Barcelona downtown area as a separated “city”, and other anecdotes.

We will make a couple of stops to discover hidden courtyards, side streets and local shops to savor some almonds, dried fruit or seasonal fresh fruit (also included in the price). We will also visit the local food market and will get to know some interesting facts about local produces, seasonality and sustainable food production in Catalonia and Spain.

Other things to note
Don't forget a small shopping bag and confortable shoes to walk off Gràcia together!

> I also speak ESPAÑOL, DEUTSCH, ITALIANO and PORTUGUÊS. Ask for a private tour in your language!

As hardened foodie and explorer, I am always in the search of new things to do and good places to eat. For me, food is an essential element to understand the local life.

Inspired by the Slow Travel & Slow Food movements I have founded Barcelona Plan·it. We guide gastronomic walks in the city and beyond. @barcelonaplanit

Where you'll be

Our walk will take us to the food market Llibertat, to the whole grain store, the bakery and at a consumer group project. We will visit some artisans in small local workshops and stores. The area of Gracia is very pedestrian friendly and has several charming squares spread in a quiet disordered street grid, we will uncover those plazas together: Sol, Diamante, Vila de Gràcia, Raspall. Last but not least: local breakfast is included!

Not really food tour as described. Had tasted 3 items, 1 of which I paid directly (but it was during a few days before Christmas) so some stores may have been closed? Host was knowledgeable of Gracia area and Barcelona, with cultural knowledge
