What you'll do

This experience is just right for you if you are a foodie and enjoy going off the beaten track, as we will walk hip and gastronomic Gràcia district together!

To immerse into Gracià's daily life and culinary culture, we will start our walk by having a coffee and a typical Catalan breakfast bite (bread with tomato or Spanish tortilla!?) in a typical 'granja' cafeteria. Then we will continue exploring the neighborhood by sneak-peeking into artisan workshops, local designer shops, cool co-working spaces and eco stores, getting to feel how locals Barcelonians live their routine. Learn why residents from Gràcia still refer to Barcelona downtown area as a separated “city”, and other anecdotes.

We will make a couple of stops to discover hidden courtyards, side streets and local shops to savor some small bites like almonds or seasonal fruit. We will then visit the local food market and will get to know some interesting facts about sea food and fishing, seasonality and sustainable food production in Catalonia and Spain.

To conclude our Gràcia walk, we will enjoy a delicious local lunch (tapas or market food!). We can adapt the menu to each participant.
Other things to note
Don't forget a small shopping bag, a bottle of water (to fill up in one of the oldest fountains in town!) and confortable shoes to walk off Gràcia together!

> We also speak ESPAÑOL, DEUTSCH and PORTUGUÊS. Ask for a private tour in your language!

I am Sandro, a passionate Barcelona local guide. I am a professional in the Tourism branch and I speak several languages. I enjoy very much to be a host, my purpose is to make you feel relaxed like a local in Barcelona.

As hardened foodie and explorer, I am always in the search of new things to do and good places to eat. For me, food is an essential element to understand the local life.

Inspired by the art of Slow Travel & Slow Food movement I have founded Barcelona Plan·it. We guide gastronomic walks in the city and beyond. Connect with us through social media @barcelonaplanit !

Where you'll be

Our walk we take us to interact with locals at the food market Llibertat, at the whole grain store, the bakery and at a consumer group project. We will visit some artisans in small local workshops and stores. The area of Gracia is very pedestrian friendly and has several charming squares spread in a quiet disordered street grid, we will uncover those plazas for you: Sol, Diamante, Vila de Gràcia, Raspall. Last but not least: local lunch!
