What you'll do
I create this EXPERIENCE adjusted perfectly to your needs. You want to see markets? I will take you! You want to avoid the crowdy places or on the contrary submerge yourself in the chaos of this town? With me you can go either way!
What I love to do most as a Guide is to just come with you and show you the way locals live their life here. Together we will explore the city. I can guide you and connect you to the people and their stories. Or you can just walk around and observe while am telling you the stories behind everything you see. Together with you I will develop YOUR unique tour through the city.
To make things easy for you, I develope some nice fixed tours. I will take you out of town to spend time at the city’s outlying attractions and relax at the beautiful Indian Ocean beach resorts.
Experience being part of Africa’s fastest growing city away from the tourist trail! You will haggle alongside residents with the friendly market traders for local produce and goods.
I'll also take you to visit the largest University in the country (UDSM), Mlimani City Shopping Mall, Village Museum, Mwenge Craft Market. This tour takes in a panoramic view over Dar es Salaam so you get a feel of its size and diversity. Visit the largest shopping Mall in Tanzania and local craft markets where you can pick up unique handmade African souvenirs to remember your visit.

Derick was very nice! We went to a local museum and he was our personal guide. He was very friendly and enthusiastic about Tanzanian culture throughout the country and his excitement was contagious. He also took a request for a specific local food and made sure that we were able to get some taking us to a local eatery and making sure our needs were met. We had a very local experience which is the kind of thing that we love to do.

Derick is a wonderful tour guide. He walked us through the Village Museum, he even participated in the dance demonstration (any other guide probably would’ve sat this one out, but he joined us and that made me feel very comfortable and not so goofy ☺️), and then upon our request took us to find some good local cuisine. We enjoyed our experience with him very much. It was a great way to learn more about the many ethnic groups in Tanzania, and seeing a bit of Dar es Salaam as well!
