I enjoyed the tour of Communa 13 it is a remarkable place not only for its history but also for the lively street fair atmosphere. Seeing the murals is Amazing! I ended up having a private excursion which gave me lots of opportunity to ask questions and discuss things with my great guide Luis. He is well known in the community and many people stop to exchange greetings with him which adds color to the tour.

Una muy buena experiencia, el lugar es hermoso con mucha historia, solo que la chica que nos guió, cuando se le hizo un comentario reaccionó de manera grosera y nos sentimos incómodos.

Wow, a beautiful and amazing area: the scenery, the art, the way Comuna 13 hangs off the side of a mountain. All of the little shops and art studios and cafes are also delightful. I wanted to practice my spanish so they sent me with a Spanish speaking guide (no english) which worked great! Her name was Dana and it worked out perfect. She speaks clearly and slowly (and repeatedly when needed) and keeps to a level that was accessible with my language ability - great!! She is also friendly and kind, and it is fun to see her interact with all of her friends along the way.

Great walking tour with a beautiful guide who tell you stories and history about the commune! Felt safer knowing you are with a local! Only downside was that the Guide offered to buy chocolate and other things from Local vendors, leaving no money to leave a tip! Overall amazing!!!
