Where you'll be

We will visit four pizzerias in the West Loop. We'll start with a deep-dish that's been around since 1971; then try a spicy Sicilian slice. We'll stop by an 80 year-old Italian grocery run by the 3rd generation owners, taste an only-in-Chicago Roman al taglio assortment of slices and finish with a VPN-certified Neapolitan that emerges from a blazing hot wood-burning oven.

Must tour for anyone who thinks they like pizza. It was educational and tasty with a tour of Chicago’s West Loop. You’ll learn a lot about the differences between pizza styles and get to try some authentic recipes! A must try for anyone visiting the city!

Jeff was great, he was kind and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the different pizza styles. He made an effort to get to know everybody on the tour and made sure everyone had a great time. The food was good and it was interesting to experience completely different styles of the same food.

A must do in Chicago! We learned so much about pizza and had such a great time! Jeff made the experience so personal and really knew everything about pizza!

Natalie was our doughcent for the tour and was super nice and friendly. She took photos for us, made sure we got them, and taught us a ton about pizza! Four slices of pizza, two cannolis (bought separately at one location), and a few beers later (also purchased separately), we’d definitely recommend this tour!

Brittani from Steve's team led our tour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. She was very knowledgeable about the West Loop area, pizza itself, and it was really interesting to hear about her own journey with food. Would recommend!

We got lucky and had Steve, who literally wrote the book, as our “doughcent”. He’s amazingly knowledgeable about the absolute best pizza places in Chicago. We walked to 4 pizzerias to enjoy different styles, all delicious. Vegetarian available at all 4, vegan at one. The tour takes 3 hours and it’s best to arrive hungry as you’ll have more than enough to eat.
