What you'll do

After meeting their alpaca or goat hiking companion, guests will begin walking with host and their chosen hiking herbivore (one animal per tour) through 10 acres of woods. The trails are mostly moderately sloped (with a couple steep sections). Host will hold the lead to the goat or alpaca for most of the hike but guests will have some time to experience leading as well. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a pastoral view including Mt Pisgah and spend a few minutes in our lookout deck. Guests can request to take photos during or after the hiking experience. Total hike time is around 30 minutes. Please note, goats or alpacas cushing (aka sitting to cool off), nibbling on vegetation, or being curious may occur . After the herbivores hiking experience, guests are welcome to explore trails on their own or hang in a hammock. If you don't see a tour time that works, reach out - we may be able to work with you!

Where you'll be

We will walk though the woods with moss covered trails, enjoy pastoral views, and delight in the curiosity of our herbivores. Red bellied and downy woodpeckers, chickadees, goldfinches, hawks, and other birds may be sighted. Neighboring cows may greet us with their sounds and turkey and deer tracks may surprise us. We're 35 minutes from downtown Asheville.
