About your host
For nearly twenty years I've been helping folks learn to build and play ukulele. I grew up in a multi-generational family of ukulele players and began to play by the time I was six. I regularly perform at concerts and festivals solo and with various jazz ensembles. In 2014 I received a grant travel to Hawaii to study construction at Hana Lima Ia' Ukulele school and to improve my playing skills…
What we’ll do
You'll begin with a short tour of the shop and what I do. We'll quckly put a uke in your hand and begin instruction. Beginners will be able to play and sing one or two simple tunes. Intermediate and advanced students are welcome. I will design your instruction based upon your wants and needs. Activity may include mapping the fingerboard, chord melody, finger-picking or embellishment.
