What you'll do

Travel to beautiful Lake Bled and set foot on Slovenia's only island.

We will drive to the Gorenjska region and first go to the Bled Castle situated on the rock overviewing the lake. In the castle museum you can learn about its history. The ticket for the castle also enables you entrance into a small wine shop and an old print shop. From both you can take something special with you.

After experiencing a breathtaking view we will descend to the lake. There you can decide if you want to take the “Pletna” boat to the island or if you want to row by yourselves. We recommend ordering the famous Bled cream cake, also known as kremšnita.

After a tour of the lake, we will head into the Vintgar Gorge. Walk to the end of the ravine and you will reach Šum Falls.
Return to Ljubljana.

We had a great time on our adventure! Rok was so warm and personable; we felt instantly comfortable. His background information made our sightseeing more meaningful. He answered our many questions and even provided some language lessons. He also recommended restaurants and shared homemade cookies with us. We never felt hurried as we enjoyed these magical places. Lastly, he even happily dropped us off at our next destination and told us where to catch the bus back to our apartment. We highly recommend Rok and his services.
