What we’ll do

At a leisurely pace with small groups of no more than ten, we shall explore sites and entertaining stories associated with famous authors and poets who have studied or taught at Oxford such as Lewis Carroll, Graham Greene, Oscar Wilde, William Golding, C.S Lewis and J.R.R Tolkien, as well as writers with Oxford connections separate to the University such as Kenneth Grahame, Jane Austen, Thomas…

What else you should know

Some of Oxford's cobblestoned streets can be a bit uneven and it is always a good idea to keep a look out for cyclists when crossing the roads in Oxford.

What I’ll provide

Drinks
Bottled water on hot days

What to bring

I highly recommended checking the weather reports and wearing suitable clothing.
Comfortable footwear is also advisable as we will be walking at a relaxed pace for around two hours

Where you'll be

Whilst walking leisurely in the hallowed footsteps of literary giants we shall come across some of Oxford’s classic landmarks, ancient colleges, beautiful meadows and some of the oldest pubs in England. Though college opening times vary throughout the year, I shall endeavour to visit one of Oxford’s splendid colleges during the tour.

Things to keep in mind

Cancellation policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 7 days before the experience is scheduled to start or within 24 hours of purchase.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside of the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 10 guests ages 18 and up can attend. Unfortunately the tour is not suitable for people to bring dogs as the colleges do not allow dogs on to their grounds.
